The second edition of the IEEE International Decentralized Energy Access Solutions (IDEAS) Conference will be held from November 10 to 12, 2026, in Amman, Jordan.
Organized by the Technical Committee on Energy Access (TC-12) of the IEEE Power Electronics Society and Princess Sumaya University for Technology, IDEAS provides a forum for bringing together technologists and practitioners in the broad area of energy access.
Rapidly moving technologies with steep and sustained price declines, such as PV solar, battery storage, digital controls, power semiconductors, cloud computing, sensors, electrified transportation, microgrids, energy hubs, etc. are rapidly driving a global energy transition. These same technologies provide a unique opportunity to transform energy access, allowing the Global South to leapfrog the Global North.
