This event is timed to align with the RACP Youth Appropriate Health Care statement, which is due to be released in April 2026. The topics will cover conditions that present within paediatric and child health clinical settings as well as the transition to adult-care.
The program creates space for structured reflection and meaningful discussion on everyday practice whilst allowing physicians to complete Category 2 and 3 activities and networking with peers.
A resilient microbiome is essential for human health. This community is constantly influenced by microbial, host, and environmental factors. Dysbiosis, a result of perturbations to this interactive community, has significant consequences for host physiology, but our understanding of the related regulatory mechanisms is still emerging.
The establishment and maintenance of a microbial community goes hand in hand with host immunity. As such, we have a growing understanding of microbial-immune crosstalk in modulating the microbiota and bolstering host protection. Understanding the ecology of this complex interplay is crucial for any targeted therapy since disruption of this balance leads to the manifestation of diseases.
This symposium puts the spotlight on the ecology of the human microbiome, its role in shaping host physiology, interplay with the immune system, and how we can use our understanding of these influences for therapeutic applications. It will span the following five sections:
Ecology of microbiome communities Host factors influencing the microbiome Immune-microbiome interactions Microbiome impacts on health Microbiome perturbations and therapeutic applications We are excited to bring together experts from various fields, including microbiology, immunology, metabolism, ecology, and precision medicine.
NATSIEHC26 is heading to the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Naarm/Melbourne – Wurundjeri Country, from Monday 11 May to Wednesday 13 May 2026.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Eye Health Conference. What started as a determined gathering in 2017 has grown into a national force for change — a space to centre mob, grow leadership, and transform how eye health care is understood and delivered in our communities.
This year’s theme, “Seeing Our Way: Innovation, Excellence and Healing,” not only celebrates First Nations leadership, knowledge, and community strength but it is also the tenth year of NATSIEHC. Across three unforgettable days, you’ll be part of powerful conversations, inspiring keynotes, cultural experiences, and hands-on workshops — all driving towards better eye health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples!
Next year's three-day conference will feature fantastic keynote speakers, presentations, posters and workshops on a wide range of child health topics. Our theme is 'Celebrating RCPCH at 30: Reflecting on the Past, Inspiring the Future'.
In classical terms, the immune system has been viewed as the host’s defense system. Tasked with recognizing foreign elements such as pathogens along with mutations of proteins encoded by self-tissue, the immune system’s teleological purpose has been assumed to be restricted to returning a damaged or threatened state to a functional resting state. However, more recently the community has realized that the immune system’s function extends beyond this remit and includes a contribution to maintain the normal function of organs and tissues in the absence of perturbations. This Cell Symposium will present insights into this conceptual space. Please join us for a fresh perspective on the multifaceted role of immune function.
Sessions include: Immune-function regulation of cardiovascular homeostasis Immune-function regulation of metabolic organ and tissue homeostasis Immune-function regulations of central and peripheral nervous-system homeostasis Immune-function regulation of intestinal homeostasis Immune-function regulation of gestation, parturition, and the effect of an aged immune system on homeostasis
It is our pleasure to announce that the 47th Asia Pacific Dental Congress (APDC 2026) will be held by the Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association (VOSA) from May 11 to 14,2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
With the theme "Integrating Scientific Advances into Dental Practice," under the support of APDF/APRO, APDC 2026 is a great opportunity to promote connection between all dental professionals from various countries in the Asia Pacific region, participating and strengthening knowledge in the field of Dentistry. The 47th APDC, organized in Vietnam for the first time, will be combined with the 2nd Hanol International Dental Exhibition and Congress (HAIDEC 2026), a prestigious dental event that helps us to enrich experiences in daily practice by integrating scientific advances in Dentistry.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 47th APDC, I would like to welcome all delegates to attend the event. I also warmly invite you all to visit Hanoi, the capital of thousand years of civilization, the city of peace having distinctive Southeast Asian charms with the hospitality of Vietnamese people.
Your strong support is highly appreciated and is indispensable for the success of the Conference
It has only recently been appreciated that the immune and skeletal systems have major interactions. It is now well documented that osteoclasts, which are important cellular mediators of skeletal homeostasis, are derived from hematopoietic precursors that also give rise to immune cells. In addition, numerous cytokines that were first shown to regulate immune cell function have also been demonstrated to regulate bone cells and influence skeletal health. Conversely, products of bone cells appear critical for the engraftment of marrow in bone, the normal development of the hematopoietic and immune systems and provide niche for long-term memory B and T cells. In the past scientists involved in immune and bone cell investigations have rarely interacted in a significant way as these disciplines have developed independently and, for the most part, remain separate. The conference will bring together leading international scientists from both fields to interact so that new collaboration can develop and more rapid progress in understanding the relationships between these fields can be achieved. Short talks will be selected from abstracts from the international community. This conference will have a format to provide an environment of maximum interaction and interchange through lectures, posters, and open discussion.
