85th Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI)
The Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India is the live wire of the surgeons across the sub-continent for more than eight decades. It is privilege for the “City of Joy” to host the 85th ASICON at the state-of-the-art convention centre, the “Biswa Bangla Convention and exhibition centre in mid-December.
The conference aims to attain the namesake of the venue and build a global platform for the surgeons of the sub-continent and beyond. The congress promises to consolidate the existing knowledge, challenge the old order, build newer skills and patronage innovation and education. The city of Kolkata has contributed six novel laureates to this country and takes pride in promoting intellectuality in all spheres of society.
The congress promises to provide a networking platform so as to develop a camaraderie between young and the experienced, the trainees and the consultants and build a gap between experience based and evidence-based medicine. The rich cultural, spiritual heritage and indominable spirits of Rabindra Nath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will guide us to achieve the excellence goal of ASI.
Bengal also boasts of the widest natural fauna and fauna ranging from the “Himalayas” to the “Sundarbans”. December will be an excellent month to spend some quality time with your family and friends after the academic debates. I, on behalf of the Team Bengal and all executive committee members and office bearers of ASI , would like to invite you in the academic fest of the second largest surgical body of the world.
