About this Academic Event

Join us in London for a special two-day event marking the culmination of the Society’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

Advancing Physiology Together will showcase the breadth, ambition, and impact of research from Early- and Mid-Career Physiologists across the globe and throughout all areas of physiology. The conference will feature opportunities for oral and poster presentations, alongside valuable networking opportunities with members at every career stage.

As the highlight of our 150th anniversary programme, this event will bring our community together to celebrate the successes of the past year and look ahead to the future of physiology.

This is also your opportunity to hear about our latest achievements, discover our plans for the year ahead, and share your ideas directly with The Society’s leadership. You’ll have the chance to meet our new Trustees, thank those who are stepping down, and reconnect with colleagues and friends as we come together to close this landmark year.

The celebrations will include the Bayliss-Starling Prize Lecture for Mid-Career Physiologists, delivered by Dr Samuel Barnes (Imperial College London, UK) and also the Annual Review Prize Lecture, delivered by Professor Susan Wray (University of Liverpool, UK).

Members can attend either in person at the Royal Society of Medicine in London or join us online. Please note that in-person places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
