The 2026 ASID Annual Scientific Meeting will be our 50th anniversary. We welcome you all to come along and share some history, memories and stories with us.

The ASID Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is the Society’s flagship event and the leading professional gathering for adult and paediatric ID physicians, clinical microbiologists, public health leaders, One Health, veterinarian and ecology specialists, nurses, scientists, pharmacists, policy makers, and researchers across Australasia across Australasia. Together, we shape the future of infectious diseases.

Held annually and rotating across Australian and New Zealand cities, the ASM:

Showcases cutting-edge research, clinical innovation, and public health strategies in infectious diseases. Brings together specialists, trainees, researchers, and policymakers from across the region and internationally. Features keynote speakers, abstract presentations, workshops, and panel discussions spanning adult and paediatric infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, microbiology, One Health, pandemic preparedness, and more. Provides a platform for multidisciplinary networking, collaboration, and continuing professional development. Each ASM is developed in collaboration with a local organising committee and reflects the regional priorities, current challenges, and emerging themes relevant to infectious diseases practice and research.
