From the 1st to the 4th of June 2026, the 33rd edition of ISCOMS will take place at the University Medical Center Groningen. The theme for ISCOMS 2026 is Breaking Biomedical Boundaries, addressing the power of innovation, collaboration and pushing the boundaries within the biomedical world.
In a time when developments are advancing faster than ever, this theme encourages individuals to push their own limits and explore new frontiers. It highlights the divide between human and machine, while also creating space for collaboration between the two. Where we once thought certain things were impossible, advancements such as Artificial Intelligence and algorithms are now playing an increasingly significant role. Additionally, this theme draws attention to the inequality in global access to healthcare and (bio)medical knowledge, as well as disparities between younger and older generations and between men and women.
ISCOMS wants to encourage collaboration across different disciplines, ages, genders, countries, and cultures.
