IIChE SCHEMCON is the Students' Chemical Engineering Congress, an annual event organized by the student chapters of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) at one of it’s regional centres.
IIChE SCHEMCON 2026 is to be hosted by IIChE Students’ Chapter, Department of Chemical Engineering, MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi (D), Pune based on the “Chemical Engineering: A Pathway for Viksit Bharat”. Chemical Engineering plays a pivotal role in building a self-reliant and technologically advanced India. By driving innovation in energy, environment, healthcare and manufacturing, it contributes to sustainable development and economic growth. From green technologies to efficient industrial processes, chemical engineers are key enablers of 'Viksit Bharat'—a progressive, resilient and future-ready nation.
