The 2026 School of Social Sciences International Conference at the University of Ghana invites scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to critically engage with the theme, Beyond Boundaries: Social Science Perspectives on Identity, Innovation, Inclusion, and Climate Resilience in the Digital Age. This theme reflects the urgent need to interrogate the shifting contours of African societies amidst global technological disruption, environmental crises, and sociopolitical transformation.
The conference will explore how social science research can illuminate pathways to inclusive development, democratic renewal, and climate resilience in digital era. It will provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on pressing issues such as economic growth and inequality, fiscal and monetary policy, gender and disability inclusion, intra-household dynamics, youth and digital cultures, peacebuilding, indigenous knowledge systems, spirituality, urbanisation, migration, and natural resource governance.
