Wherever you’re coming from, Hamilton offers a powerful sense of place rooted in deep history and natural beauty. The city is located on the traditional territory of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas. It sits within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. This is land that has long been a site of gathering, learning, and exchange—and it continues to be today.
